There are many good reasons why we experience stress, anxiety and depression in terms of our
evolution, our physiology and our brains. Not to mention the stresses and strains of our modern
This workshop will explore what is happening in our brains and our bodies when we are
experiencing anxiety and share some useful techniques for managing it. It is an experiential
workshop so will involve lying on a mat (can be done seated if necessary) and taking part in
guided meditation and breathing exercises.
Jo Christa Taylor is a Mindfulness Teacher (MBCT). She offers Mindfulness Workshops, 8-week
Courses, Meditation Classes and Mindfulness Retreats as well as teaching Yoga and coaching
Beginners Running. She is passionate about helping people to feel more at home in their bodies
and more at ease in their minds. She particularly enjoys demystifying Mindfulness and helping
people understand why we experience anxiety, overwhelm and low mood; why it is not our fault
and more importantly we can do about it.
