Gentle Chair Yoga
The Gentle Chair Yoga class is a chair-based class for those who, for whatever reason, struggles to get down to or up from the floor, people who work at their desk all day, those recovering from surgery or an illness and anyone who just fancies a gentle class. We use gentle movements, adapted from traditional yoga poses, to help tone the whole body. Breathing techniques and meditation help to calm the mind and we always end with deliciously deep relaxation.
You will need your phone, iPad or laptop (laptop is the best) and the app Zoom Cloud Meeting (sign up for free, no need to upgrade to get the full class as Wendy’s already paid to upgrade as the host). You will of course need your chair, maybe a couple yoga bricks if you have them (if not 2 thick hard-cover books will do), maybe some cushions and a belt. Please make sure you have both the audio and video on when you log in. Wendy will send the invitation at least an hour before class time so that you can get set up and start on time. Do please try to angle your phone/laptop camera so Wendy can see you from head to toe (as much as possible anyway).
