Mum & Baby Yoga Class
Motherhood can bring such joy but also a bit of apprehension and anxiety. Birthlight Post-natal and Baby Yoga classes offer a series of specially adapted gentle yoga poses, breathwork, visualisation, meditation and relaxation to help you cope with the changes in your life and to bond more deeply with your baby.
Post-natal yoga poses and deep breathing techniques heal and tone your body, calm your mind, and provide you with the tool to cope with the stresses of parenthood. You and your baby are encouraged to interact and bond with each other during class. We spend roughly half the class on the mother and the other half on the baby. We encourage mothers to gently practice yoga with their little ones. The movements and massages promote healthy physical, emotional and mental development for the babies while empowering the parents with creative ways to interact with their little ones.
Please try to leave your pram/buggy in the car and carry your baby into class. A car seat is fine. Please bring along a blanket, a yoga mat and a small cushion. A bottle of water is a good idea too. Thank you.
