We are super excited to have the wonderful Theresa Hannan with us teaching our BarreControl Pilates class. Theresa teaches Pilates to a huge variety of ages, abilities and limitations. Her love for Pilates stems from a deep belief in its rehab capabilities. Theresa loves all things postural, identifying postural imbalances, correcting them through exercise in a fun and friendly way. After achieving her level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates, Theresa set up her business, Peak District Pilates. Shen then retrained in 2022to learn Pilates all over again from an institute led by physiotherapists. Theresa recently acquired her love for BarreControl Pilates which helps to strengthen and tone the legs and lower back - providing stability to the ankles, knees and hips. BarreControl combines ballet barre movements with Pilates exercises and help to create postural awareness, improve cardio-vascular health and tones the whole body.
In her spare time, Theresa does weight training and gymnastics. When downtime is required (often!), she likes reading, needlework, or nattering over a good cup of coffee. Theresa is friendly, bubbly and full of energy. Come and meet her in her BarreControl Pilates class every Tuesday at 12:45-1:45pm.
